Experiential Learning : The PRIH Fellowship

We are pleased to announce the inaugural cohort of the PRIH fellowship, an intensive 12-week program in partnership with Gift.ed, designed to support early-mid career practitioners working at the intersection of climate, policy and sustainable development.

The PRIH Fellowship is an initiative of the Policy Research and Innovation Hub (PRIH) focused on advancing climate governance through data-driven analysis, policy innovation, and evidence-based solutions across adaptation, energy transition and climate finance.

Designed to strengthen the pipeline of climate thinkers and practitioners, the fellowship equips participants with tools to produce policy-relevant outputs that respond to real-world needs. Through structured engagement and applied research, fellows are developing work that contributes directly to ongoing conversations around climate governance, finance and systems transformation.

This cohort brings together diverse expertise across renewables, economics and agricultural systems:

  • Adam Salihu Kila is exploring the macroeconomic conditions shaping climate finance in Nigeria, with a focus on how fiscal dynamics influence investment flows for adaptation.

  • Jubreel Hassan is examining climate finance and investment readiness, including tools to assess the viability of green bonds within Nigeria’s financial landscape.

  • Nev Stephen Aondowase is working on data governance within climate-smart systems, focusing on how data structures can better support resilience and adaptation.

Across these workstreams, fellows are engaging with critical themes of climate finance, data systems and transition pathways to translate research into tangible outputs including policy briefs, analytical frameworks and decision support tools. Beyond technical outputs, the Fellowship emphasises clarity, accountability, and real-world application, ensuring that ideas are positioned to inform policy and practice.
